Missed Pickup

      If you call customer service, please ensure you provide them
      with your specific house address.

      If you do not provide your address, they will come to the address on record,
      the USHA President’s home.

       

Trash Pickup Schedule

  • Collected every Monday and Thursday – Trash needs to be at the curb by 6 am.
  • No Pickup – Thanksgiving (4th Thursday in November), Christmas (December 25th) and New Years day (January 1st).

  • They will NOT pick up paint or hazardous waste, toxic or flammable items, or any item that cannot be safely loaded or hauled away. See Fairfax County’s Household Hazardous Waste Webpage for more information

Recycling Pickup

  • Collected every Wednesday – Recyclables need to be at the curb by 6 am.
  • No Pickup – Christmas (December 25th) and New Years day (January 1st).
  • Newspapers should be bundled in paper bags, tied securely with strong twine or in recycling containers.
  • Bundles may include slick inserts and magazines but should not exceed 20 lbs.
  • Plastic bottles, jars, aluminum & metal food cans should be rinsed and may be co-mingled.
  • Glass Recycling – Fairfax County no longer accepts glass bottles and jars in the curbside
    recycling program. Residents should reuse glass containers or bring them to purple,
    glass-only recycling containers located throughout the region. If this is not possible,
    glass should be placed in the trash. The closest glass recycling container is located at the
    William J. Burkholder Administrative Center, 10700 Page Avenue, Fairfax 22030.

Yard Waste Pickup

  • Collected every Wednesday from March 1 to December 24 – Yard Waste needs to be at the curb by 6 am.
  • From December 26 to February 28, Yard Waste should be put out with your regular trash.
  • Yard waste MUST be in PAPER bags. Plastic bags will NOT be picked up.
  • No Pickup – Christmas (December 25th) and New Years day (January 1st).
  • The woody part of yard debris such as bushes and small tree limbs should be collected separately and cut in 4 foot lengths (no more than 6 inches in diameter), tied and bundled in arm size bundles. The trash service will not collect large tree stumps (diameter greater than 6 in.) or containers/bundles weighing more than 50 lbs or longer than 6 ft.
  • Leaves must be in PAPER bags.
  • Christmas Trees will be collected at the curb for recycling on the first four Wednesdays following
    December 25. Please remove all tinsel and do not use tree bags.

Trash and Recycling Containers

  • The Republic/AAA 96-gal Trash Container and the Republic/AAA 18-gal Recycle
    Container is covered under the USHA Account #3-0803-1601416 with Republic. If your
    container is damaged contact Republic Customer Service, (703) 818-8222 to schedule a
    replacement.
  • Homeowners can contract for a fee directly with Republic if they desire a different size
    container or homeowners can buy their own container.
